Global conference on urban health to hit Manchester in 2014
From 4-7 March 2014 the Manchester Central Convention Complex will be home to the ICUH’s 11th annual conference with delegates from all over the world exchanging insights, intelligence and knowledge on global urban health issues.
The expected delegates will include scientists, practitioners, policy makers and community organisations spanning sectors, disciplines and geographic boundaries. This is the first time the conference has been staged in Britain.

Keynote speakers will include Sir Michael Marmot of UCL, President of the British Lung Foundation and an expert on inequalities in health; Professor Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer for England and one of the instigators of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) with a budget of £1 billion; and Professor Martin McKee, Chair of the International Scientific Committee of the European Public Health Association and author of 72 academic papers and 42(!) books on public health issues.
