Energise Festival

The Barrow Down  'ramshackle chic' main stage

Hosting a mix of local talent including Quiet Loner, Louis Barabbas and KS Rooservelt.

The pizza oven will be firing up, the Tibetan Kitchen will be serving delicious food, and the Community Cafe will be stocking up treats. Moss Cider will be assisting the revelry with their locally-sourced apple-based drinks (non-apple based drinks also available!). 

Fun come rain or shine! Outdoor activities will be undercover.

The Pollytunnel

This warm space, full of plants winding and growing in the heat, will be the backdrop for discussion on a range of hot topics and controversial issues within the environmental movement. A place to take a moment to connect with nature through drawing and to think about local campaigns and global energy justice.

Do-It-Yourself Space!

Get practical, be empowered, learn how to do-it-yourself! Drop in and make your own solar panels and learn how to make your home warmer through DIY energy efficiency improvements.

Yard theatre

The theatre will be the space for engaging debates, discussions and film showings on society, our environmental crisis and issues of justice.

Little Folk

A place for kids and parents to run wild, discover little creatures in the ground, get creative and play. Bring your tiny tots, terrible twos and almost teens to be entertained. With facepainting, craft activities and games. Open from midday to 6pm. 

Carbon Co-op Caravan

Find out more about the organisers of Energise. Carbon Co-op is a community benefit society co-operative, with members who want make large scale reduction in their domestic carbon emissions. We provide the practical tools, technical information and support people need to take action on climate change in their own homes. If you want to meet some of our inspiring members and get energy advice, pop it for a cuppa and a biscuit!
