Workshop

Who makes and shapes decisions in Greater Manchester?

Sacred Trinity Church - Chapel Street, Salford, M3 5DW
Tuesday, 28 June, 2016 - 10:00
Tuesday, 28 June, 2016 - 12:00

Inclusive governance is about the making and shaping of decisions that affect people in their everyday life. This event is about mapping out how devolution within Greater Manchester could bring about greater inclusive governance. What has to be in place for people to be heard and included in policy decisions that matter to them?

This event is for you if:

  • You are involved in enabling people to have more say in decisions that affect them
  • You want to share ideas on making change happen in Greater Manchester
  • You are open to learning about research, and happy to get stuck-in.

Participants in the workshop will work together to identify the barriers and catalysts to inclusive governance in Greater Manchester. They will then jointly map out existing activities, projects and organisations working towards this aim.

They will be contributing – in real time – to Jam and Justice, a new research project about social innovation and inclusive governance in Greater Manchester. We are recruiting people to be part of Jam and Justice for the next 3 years, in our ‘Action Research Co-operative’, and this event is a chance to find out more about this opportunity.
