Ali has 15 years experience of supporting voluntary sector organisations to develop their capacity. Currently at Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation, previously at Community Technical Aid Centre. The support is generally to enable groups to manage, develop and sustain community facilities and apply for funding.  This includes community needs analysis, feasibility studies to inform community facility development, community renewable energy and project management.  She created www.building-success.org.uk an online toolkit to assist groups through the community design processes, encouraging success and managing risk. And recently managed the Ardwick Heritage Project, exploring history through people’s memories.
