Partnership collaborates to change Greater Manchester food for the better
Lucy Danger, Chair said “We are keen to match the endorsement we’ve gained from the GM Combined Authority’s Low Carbon Hub, by getting wider support from other key agencies, authorities, organisations and individuals across the city region. There’s so much to do and we know the only way we will make progress on this complex agenda is to collaborate, to share more, to better information and to ‘join the dots’.
“Our key purpose is to raise the profile of ‘good food’ in all its guises. Priorities include reducing food waste, supporting the groups who are seeking to reduce food poverty and looking at how procurement practices can be improved, for example, to emulate the good practice happening in Oldham’s school meal service. We are seeking help and expertise to progress this and more... Join with us to change the Greater Manchester world of food for the better!”
