The exhibition was opened with a series of short presentations from Sir Richard Leese, Leader of Manchester City Council, Professor Martin Hall, Vice Chancellor of Salford University and Dr Beth Perry, Centre for Sustainable Urban and Regional Futures. It also included a workshop on research carried out by the Greater Manchester Local Interaction Platform (part of Mistra Urban Futures) in order to stimulate a discussion about FAIR, GREEN and DENSE cities. It was held as part of the ESRC Festival of Social Science 3 -6 November 2012.
