Damian began his career in environmental & engineering consultancy, in the UK and overseas, with Rio Tinto, BHP Billiton, Coffey International, Golder Associates and Wardell Armstrong. At the Northwest Regional Development Agency, he led on the production and implementation of Northwest England’s first ever climate change action plan and also managed a £23m programme of regional carbon reduction and climate change adaptation activities. Most recently at United Utilities, he managed a carbon reduction & renewables programme across a £50m annual energy portfolio, leading on carbon compliance, benchmarking, training, renewables, smarter travel, staff engagement and community partnerships. Damian is a Chartered Environmentalist and a member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment. He holds degrees from Manchester University and Imperial College London.
