Sarah has worked in the environment and low carbon sector for 12 years, predominantly advising businesses and working with partners to promote sustainable practices and decisions to improve the natural world.

She currently works at the Environment Agency where she is involved in two Greater Manchester based programmes - Defra’s Natural Capital Urban Pioneer and Ignition – both of which focus on exploring ways to unlock funding and finance for the natural environment, whilst also influencing decision makers to improve both the quality and quantity of natural environments within urban areas.

Prior to this, Sarah worked at the Land Trust leading on Policy, Research, Public Affairs and Corporate Relations with a key focus on communicating the value and importance of green spaces. Being based within the Communications team, she used her strategic skills to drive the corporate brand and her interpersonal skills to forge strong partnerships.  

Sarah is also a Trustee at Cheshire Wildlife Trust.
